older web browsers

i am working on an app which uses a technology that is not supported by internet explorer version seven and below.  it DOES work on Firefox 3.0+, Safari 3.0+, Chrome 5.0+, Opera 9.5+ 
my question is, will i lose points because it doesn't display on older browsers?

    Thanks for your interest in the challenge!
    In terms of submission criteria, we only require that Submissions be "broadly accessible to the open Internet". There is no requirement that submissions be functional on all browsers.
    Judging criteria are a bit more subjective, and "points" are allocated at the discretion of each judge. There are four judging categories. The one that applies to your question is "Technology Implementation" and it asks whether the app is "implemented in a functional and elegant fashion" and it is worth 20%.
    I can’t speculate on how judges will rate your solution, but I can say that the issue of it not being viewable on IE7 shouldn't factor in too much in your score.
