Do Facebook Likes count as vote?

Even though  "like" is listed under the share section, I notice many Facebook users are "liking" submissions as opposed to voting. Also, I think Facebook "likes" are very different from tweets since you can only "like" sometihng once. So, will the "likes" be taken into consideration?
